Who's caring for those who care? The Ronald McDonald House is- we can't take away the pain, but we can provide the basics that make life bearable during a crisis...

Our Local Heroes who support "The House that Love Built"

Our New Roof!
The Community Foundation of Greenville, Inc. is a public charity established in 1956 by visionary donors who sought to create a way to give back to their community and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Greenville County.
Over the last fifty years, many people, from all walks of life, have joined in that commitment.  As an organization, they  seek ways to make meaningful, sustained differences in the Community.
Their role includes helping donors respond to community needs that match their personal interests, provide effective grant making that seeks to encourage collaboration and partnerships, and to encourage philanthropy that will leave a legacy for the next generation.
In 2007 and 2008, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas was a recipient of the Hollingsworth Funds Grant. John D. Hollingsworth, Jr. was an astute textile executive and real estate investor who owned and operated a world leading fiber-processing machinery and textile carding business from his Greenville County headquarters.  Mr. Hollingsworth also was a very private person whose charitable gifts were made quietly and anonymously during his lifetime. Only after his death did the Greenville community learn of his magnificent charitable legacy and interests.   Mr. Hollingsworth left the bulk of his estate to The Hollingsworth Funds, Inc. for the benefit of Furman University, the YMCA and for charitable organizations that operate or conduct affairs for the benefit of charitable uses within Greenville County, South Carolina, or for the benefit of residents of Greenville County.
It is the mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Carolinas, Inc. to provide for the physical and emotional well being of children and their families ? to provide a ?home away from Home? to our families and children.

With the 2007 grant, the Ronald McDonald House was able to replace our roof of 19 years. Without this Grant, this would not have been possible.

With the 2008 monies, the Ronald McDonald House is embarking on a mission to provide more housing for families in need.

Through the work of the Community Foundation of Greenville and the Hollingsworth Funds, Inc. we say welcome to our family and thank you from the children and families we serve
Thanks for being a part of the ?House that Love Built? ?.
